Bayley came away from WWE‘s South America Live Tour calling it one of the most special experiences she’s had in pro wrestling.
The tour ran four consecutive shows between September 9 and September 12, with stops in Quito, Ecuador, Bogotá, Colombia, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Santiago, Chile. It marked WWE’s first event in Ecuador in ten years, and the company’s return to the other three countries after seven years away.
Bayley competed all four nights. In Quito, Buenos Aires, and Santiago, she competed for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Raquel Rodriguez, IYO SKY, and Sol Ruca. In Bogotá, she and IYO faced off in singles action.
Her match against IYO SKY turned into one of the tour’s biggest moments. The crowd broke into “This is awesome” and “This is wrestling” chants during the bout, and Bayley said afterward it was one of her favorite matches of her entire career.
After the tour wrapped, Bayley posted on Instagram praising the reception she got from the South American crowds:
“These past 4 shows were a pro wrestlers dream. I had some of my favorite moments of my career this week, and that’s not an exaggeration.
Thank you South America.”
The tour came just days after Bayley returned to WWE television. On the September 7 episode of RAW, she showed up during the Women’s Money in the Bank qualifying match and cost Lyra Valkyria the win, clearing the way for Sol Ruca to qualify.
Bayley hadn’t been on WWE TV since July, when Valkyria defeated her at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
