Leon Slater is back on top of the X-Division. At Sunday’s TNA Lockdown in Chicago, Illinois, Slater defeated Cedric Alexander to capture the TNA X-Division Championship for the second time in his career.
The bout was contested inside a steel cage under Last Man Standing rules. Beyond the title itself, Slater’s entire TNA legacy hung in the balance. Had he lost, his first reign and every record from that run would have been officially erased from TNA’s books.
Slater and Alexander delivered a hard-hitting contest. Slater was busted open after being driven into the cage, and Alexander planted him with a Michinoku Driver off the top rope.
Down the stretch, Slater seized control and delivered multiple Lumbar Checks in succession. He then went up top and connected with a 450 Splash. Alexander couldn’t answer the ten count.
The win also preserves the milestone Slater set at Slammiversary 2025, when he defeated Moose at 20 years old to become the youngest X-Division Champion in TNA history.
