Add as a preferred source on Google Bayley’s contract status is back in the spotlight after WWE wrapped up her feud with Lyra Valkyria in a way that could keep her off television indefinitely.
According to F4WOnline, the exact expiration date is not publicly known, but it is expected to fall in Q4 2026. If Bayley does not re-sign, she could become a free agent as early as October.
“I have a year and a half left on this current contract, so we’ll see what happens then. And then what? Man, I don’t know. I think I’ve done everything I really want to do, not everything. There’s still a lot I want to get done, but done so much with WWE and I’ve been here for already 12 years. And there’s like a huge wave of women coming in that I think are ready to take over and ready to be in those spots.”
Speculation picked up after Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 18. Valkyria defeated Bayley by referee stoppage, then attacked her again after the match. On the July 20 episode of RAW, Valkyria said:
“I’m probably glowing because I dropped the dead weight when I ran Bayley outta here.”
The finish could serve as a permanent send-off or simply as a way to write Bayley off television ahead of a return.
Mercedes Moné also added to the conversation, posting a fan-made graphic for AEW WrestleDream in October that depicted herself against “Davina Rose,” Bayley’s former name. She later shared an hourglass.
If Bayley’s contract simply expires, she would be available immediately, without the 90-day non-compete period that typically applies to talent released before their deal is up.
