Bayley has entered the final months of her WWE contract and has not signed a new deal.
According to Fightful Select, sources within the company expect her deal to expire by the end of 2026 unless an injury adds time to it. WWE wants to keep her, but no renewal has taken place so far.
Bayley is still listed on WWE’s official roster page, according to Wrestling Noticias.
Interest in signing Bayley isn’t a new topic in AEW. People backstage have been tracking her contract situation for nearly a year, and the expectation is that Tony Khan will make her a significant offer if she reaches the open market.
Bayley has attended several AEW shows, though Khan avoids discussing business with talent still under contract with other companies.
An agent who spoke with Fightful weighed in on the situation surrounding the former WWE Women’s Champion. One agent said that they believe Bayley should, at minimum, test free agency. They also feel her negotiations could help reshape how top WWE talent approach contract talks moving forward.
The assessment is that both WWE and AEW could offer multi-year contracts worth several million dollars. AEW also typically covers travel expenses and allows its wrestlers more outside commitments.
The outcome of her rivalry with Lyra Valkyria left WWE prepared for any scenario. Bayley lost at the July 18 Saturday Night’s Main Event.
As of now, her departure has not been confirmed.
