Big Rumor Killer on WWE WrestleMania 43

Las Vegas is not a backup option if WWE must move WrestleMania 43 out of Saudi Arabia, Dave Meltzer reports.

WWE will have to look somewhere other than Las Vegas if it is forced to move WrestleMania 43 out of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 2027.

As Wrestling Noticias previously reported, WWE’s official plan is still to hold the show in Saudi Arabia despite instability in the Middle East.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the recent rumors of Las Vegas serving as a backup location are not accurate. Meltzer’s sources in the city said there are no dates available in April 2027 that fit WWE’s plans.

The report adds that Las Vegas is not in a position to match the financial incentives it offered to land WrestleMania 41 and 42, which the city hosted back to back at Allegiant Stadium.

None of this means WWE is preparing to move the show out of Saudi Arabia. Meltzer said the company is monitoring the situation and will hold off on hinting at a possible pullout until a decision actually has to be made. WrestleMania 43 is expected to bring in more than $100 million for WWE.

Concern over the situation grew after the U.S. State Department kept its travel advisory for Saudi Arabia at Level 3, urging Americans to reconsider travel to the country because of the risk of armed conflict, terrorism, and Iranian drone and missile attacks.

WWE is also in no rush to announce official dates for WrestleMania 43. WrestleVotes Radio reports that the company does not plan to reveal them in October.

Riyadh remains the official host city for WrestleMania 43. If the situation does force WWE to change course, however, Las Vegas is not expected to be a ready-made fallback.
