Add as a preferred source on Google Brie Bella and Paige were left frustrated by the lack of plans for them during WWE’s recent European tour.
Speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show, Brie revealed that she and Paige were very disappointed that they did not get a real opportunity to appear in front of the European fans, whether in a match or even in a promo.
The situation started on Friday Night SmackDown in Barcelona, Spain. According to Brie, she and Paige were only part of a backstage segment, even though both of them wanted to be in the arena in front of the crowd.
“But, you know, we obviously start off my trip in Barcelona for SmackDown. I will tell you all, Paige and I were very sad not to wrestle in front of you in Spain or even be out there. You know, we had a backstage segment, which was still really good… But I will say Paige and I were so sad not to be out in front of the crowd.
And then, the following Friday on SmackDown, Paige and I thought we had a match, and then we didn’t. And we were so sad. We’re like, ‘Can we please walk out to the crowd and cut a promo and do all that?’ We originally were supposed to be out in the crowd and do this thing out in the arena, but at the last minute it got switched. We were so bummed. I was like, ‘How is it that I’m in Europe and I did not once walk out to any of those fabulous, high-energy crowds?’”
Paige and Brie Bella are currently in a new chapter as WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions following the Anti-Diva’s return to the company.
