Bronson Reed has addressed one of the most talked-about moments from last week’s WWE RAW involving Oba Femi and The Vision.
On the September 7 episode, Femi went after the group but was overwhelmed. Bron Breakker hit multiple Spears and Reed followed with several Tsunamis before placing his foot on the back of “The Ruler,” who immediately shoved it off.
Speaking with The West Australian, Reed addressed the moment and made it clear he was trying to assert dominance.
“I think you got to remember, like, I am the top dog. I’m always going to assert dominance and that’s what I would try to do, and he’s very much the same. That’s why he obviously hit my foot off. So, if people have speculation about these things, then go for it, speculate. But of course, both of us want to be number one, and we’re going to do whatever it takes to be number one.”
Reed added that he spent his six-month absence watching RAW every week and that Femi’s rise made him the obvious target upon his return.
“While I was away for those six months I made sure to watch Monday nights, every single week, and I saw the rise of Oba Femi, and how much he’s become a big part of WWE, and is one of the mainstays now. I think you should always be gunning for the top spot. So, if that’s what has happened in these last six months, that’s who I’m targeting.”

The moment also drew attention backstage. According to Fightful Select, Femi brushing Reed’s foot off wasn’t scripted and caught some WWE personnel off guard. Several people noticed it, and some weren’t happy about it. It remains unclear whether the frustration was directed at Reed for placing his foot on Femi, at Femi for pushing it off, or both.
The rivalry started the night before at Sunday Night’s Main Event, when Reed returned during the match between Femi and Bron Breakker and attacked Femi, causing a disqualification finish.
Reed also said he believes he brings a different dynamic than Brock Lesnar and promised to push Femi to his limits.
“It’s very exciting. We’ve seen Oba Femi in matches with Brock Lesnar, which have been incredible, when you have these two massive guys hitting each other and doing some crazy stuff. But I still think I bring a different dynamic to what Brock Lesnar does. I’m a little bit more dangerous; I’m a little bit more gritty. I’m a bit more on the edge. You’re going to see some different things that you didn’t see in those matches with Brock Lesnar, and I’m going to push Oba Femi to his limits.”
Femi, who defeated Lesnar in a Hell in a Cell match at SummerSlam, is among the names advertised for tonight’s RAW on September 14 at Arena CDMX in Mexico City.
