Charlotte Flair still has a few ideas she’d like to explore in WWE. One she’s never tried in her career is a romantic storyline.
Flair brought it up again on Power Hour, hosted by Olympic medalist Ilona Maher, after first floating the idea in July at Fanatics Fest NYC.
Asked whether it could actually happen, Flair said:
“I put it into the universe. Let’s see if it catches. I just have never been paired with a male or have ever had a ‘heyyy.’ It’d just be so fun for me. A couple of my fans were like, ‘there is no one good enough for the Queen,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, that is the greatest line.’ We’re so independent; we don’t need a male, but I thought it would be fun to show that, ‘Hey, I’m not so cold. I can be flirty.'”
Flair’s pitch would use an on-screen romance to present a different version of her character, which has historically been built around the dominant, confident “Queen” persona.
For now, her actual plans look nothing like that. She’s been working alongside Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley on SmackDown, feuding with Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab.
All six are confirmed for a Six-Woman Tag Team Match at Sunday Night’s Main Event this Sunday in Atlanta.
