Chris Jericho and Nick Wayne will meet again, this time at one of AEW’s biggest international events. Their rematch is officially set for AEW Grand Slam: France in Paris.
The match was made on Wednesday’s AEW Collision. Jericho wanted to address the attack he suffered last week, so he called Wayne to the ring. Wayne challenged Jericho to another match after the two traded words, and Jericho accepted on the spot.
“See you in Paris, kid.”
The feud heated up on the Sept. 16 Dynamite. Jericho won their match that night by taking advantage of Wayne’s obsession with his necklace. Wayne attacked Jericho with a chair right afterward.
The trouble between the two started at the beginning of the month, though. On the Sept. 2 episode of Dynamite, Jericho mocked Wayne for taking the pin in the Casino Gauntlet match at All In, and the taunting led to a backstage brawl. Days later on Collision, Wayne challenged Jericho to their first one-on-one match.
Grand Slam: France is set for Oct. 6 at Adidas Arena in Paris. It will be AEW’s first live event in France.
