WWE is expected to bring at least one big main roster name to the October 6 episode of NXT, which will go head-to-head that night on U.S. television with AEW’s Grand Slam: France edition of Dynamite.
According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, at least one major WWE star is expected to appear on the show. So far, however, no name has been revealed, and WWE has not made any official announcement.
NXT will stay in its usual time slot, airing live on The CW from 8 to 10 p.m. ET. AEW, by contrast, will hold Grand Slam: France hours earlier at the Adidas Arena in Paris, but Dynamite will air in the United States at 8 p.m. ET, putting the two shows in direct competition.
The Paris show will also be historic, marking AEW’s first event in France. The promotion will tape both Dynamite and Collision at the Adidas Arena that night.

The first match for the show has been confirmed, with Chris Jericho set to face Nick Wayne in a rematch of their recent encounter on AEW television.
Dave Meltzer previously said he expected AEW to put together a strong card for Paris, precisely because the show would be going head-to-head with NXT.
WWE appears willing to bolster its own October 6 programming as well.
