AEW Very Optimistic About Grand Slam: France Ticket Sales

AEW is feeling confident about ticket sales for Grand Slam: France on October 6 at the Adidas Arena in Paris.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, people backstage are expecting the show to sell out. As of the most recent count, 5,802 tickets had been distributed for a 6,932-seat configuration, leaving 1,130 still available.

Beyond ticket sales, there’s also an expectation that the Paris crowd will be loud, largely because of how WWE’s recent events in France have gone.

WWE ran Clash in Paris at Paris La Défense Arena last year, where the fans were raucous throughout. A year earlier, at Backlash France in Lyon, WWE said the crowd had broken decibel records.

Grand Slam: France will mark AEW’s first show in the country. When the event was announced, Tony Khan said many French fans had been making the trip to London for AEW shows and that he’d like to turn Paris into one of AEW’s main international destinations.
