Kairi Sane’s future in pro wrestling remains open, especially in light of the constant speculation about her move to AEW. In recent days, rumors emerged that problems with her visa were delaying any agreement.
The situation, in fact, is exactly the opposite. According to Fightful Select, Sane’s work visa in the United States has expired, but she needs to first sign with an American company to begin the renewal process.
In the case of a possible move to AEW, this means that Tony Khan and Sane need to reach an agreement before any movement related to the visa. Once she is signed by a company, the visa could be renewed in about 15 business days.
However, last week, Fightful had already reported that no agreement had been concluded. The conversations, however, continue to take place, and there is an expectation that Sane and AEW will reach some agreement soon.
Tony Khan spoke publicly about Kairi after WrestleDream, stating that he was quite interested in the possibility of having the former WWE wrestler.
Kairi was one of the top names let go by WWE in the big wave of releases carried out in April of this year. Since then, several companies have demonstrated interest in signing her, including promotions from Japan.
