PAC passed away at age 40 on Sept. 27 and, since then, new information about what happened has been emerging. It was recently reported here that the cause of death was bronchial asthma, a disease that was not public knowledge.
However, according to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, based on information given by a friend of PAC’s, the wrestler had already been dealing with lung problems for quite some time, having even had complications involving blood clots in 2023.
Meltzer said the following.
“He did have lung issues. This is not something that came out of nowhere that nobody knew.”
“I don’t know how well that was known but one of his friends had told me like, you know, really like the week of his death, you know about the, he had the blood clot issues when in 2023. And he said that he had had some, some lung issues. And so this is. The lung issues are consistent with, with what happened.”
PAC passed away just one day after competing at All Out on Sept. 26, when he faced Andrade El Ídolo for the AEW National Title. The next day he was found dead in a rental car, with his death being confirmed at 4:08 p.m., local time.
