Add as a preferred source on Google Cruz Montana has responded to Grayson Waller’s comments and attack on Tuesday’s episode of WWE NXT.
Waller returned to NXT and called the last two years of his career an “embarrassment.” Waller also went after Austin Theory and NXT’s men’s division. Waller dismissed Montana’s TNA career and compared Montana to a player at a local YMCA.
During an appearance on Busted Open After Dark, Montana said he understood Waller’s frustration. Montana also questioned what former SmackDown Tag Team Champion Grayson Waller had accomplished in his own career.
“I’ve never met this dude a day in my life. Ever. I’ve barely even heard the name. Lets keep it a buck Bully. Like what have you done? I got 20 years in the game bro. I’ve traveled around the world. You don’t know what I’ve been through. You don’t know what I’ve gone through to get here. I will always give props where they’re due. I was in his shoes before. I was pissed off at the world before. I had opportunities taken from me. I had a ceiling put on me. I get it. I gotta give him props for speaking his mind.”
Montana also defended what it means to win the TNA World Championship and recalled walking away from a good contract. Montana, who has since joined WWE, won the TNA World Championship twice. His second reign lasted 164 days.
The closing segment with Waller, Montana, and Tony D’Angelo suggested all three will be involved in the NXT Championship picture.
