Maxxine Dupri took a major step in her WWE Raw future. On Monday’s show in Chicago, she played a decisive role in The Vision regaining the World Tag Team Championship.
The match saw The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford) defend the titles against Bron Breakker and Austin Theory in a championship rematch.
The closing stretch came after another attempted interference from Logan Paul. “The Maverick” tried to use the brass knuckles again, but the referee caught him in the act.
Dawkins still managed to neutralize Breakker. However, just when it looked like the champions had control, Maxxine appeared behind the referee’s back and hit Dawkins with a low blow. Theory took advantage and scored the pinfall to win the match.
After the match, Maxxine jumped into Theory’s arms, and the two kissed, officially sealing her entry into The Vision.
Over the past few weeks, Maxxine had been growing more distant from Alpha Academy. On June 1, Otis and Akira Tozawa had already warned her about getting closer to Theory.
Not long after, Chad Gable tried to publicly apologize to her for the way he had previously treated the group, but Maxxine rejected the apology, making it clear that her relationship with him would never be the same again.
With the win, Breakker and Theory begin a new reign as World Tag Team Champions, just two weeks after losing the titles to The Street Profits in London.
