Danhausen went back to taking shots at CM Punk, this time over the Go To Sleep, the move made famous by the “Second City Saint” during his biggest years in WWE.

During an appearance on WWE Now, after Backlash, Danhausen was telling one of his stories involving Punk, including the supposed habit of stealing the wrestler’s mail. However, the conversation took a different turn when he claimed Punk owes him something, since he can’t use the move in WWE.

“He owes me, he stole my finishing move, I can’t do it here.”

“He was retired, and I said ‘Hey, I’ve been doing this.’ He says, ‘It’s yours.’ Then he came out of retirement like three months later and took it back.”

Danhausen’s version of the GTS was called the Very Nice, Very Kneevil and got over mainly during his time on the independent circuit and in ROH. After the ROH 19th Anniversary show in March 2021, Punk publicly gave his blessing for the move to be used.

Danhausen continues to be featured on WWE programming. At Backlash, held in Tampa, he teamed up with Minihausen to defeat The Miz and Kit Wilson in a match full of comedy and featuring several “Minihausens.”
