Ricky Saints has pushed back again on a recurring fan comparison. Many in the WWE Universe believe his character draws from The Rock, pointing to how he dresses, talks, and carries himself on TV.
He addressed it during an interview with SmarkTank Revolution. Ricky Saints said he did not build his presentation around the “Final Boss.”
“My character was never based on The Rock.”
Ricky Saints also pointed out that sharply dressed wrestlers existed long before and after The Rock. He argued the comparison flattens his identity in pro wrestling.

This is not a new debate. Back in April, Ricky Saints handled it with humor and said the comparison no longer bothers him. He also called fan reactions overblown whenever he does anything remotely similar to the future WWE Hall of Famer.
The comments come right after his SmackDown debut. He interrupted Cody Rhodes and made it clear he is aiming straight for the top of WWE. Nick Aldis made it official on the spot, booking the two for a match later that night.
Even with fans still drawing the parallel to The Rock, Ricky Saints seems determined to prove a point. WWE is selling its own revolution, not a retread of the past.
