Zilla Fatu appears to be closing in on a move to WWE, which would further expand the Anoa’i family’s presence in the company.

According to Fightful Select, Fatu is expected to sign with WWE, if the deal has not already been finalized in recent days.

“Zilla Fatu is expected to sign with WWE, if he hasn’t been signed already.”

The update comes just weeks after Fatu was spotted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, going through steps tied to a possible signing. As of now, however, WWE has not officially announced his arrival.

The son of Umaga, Fatu has become one of the more notable names on the American independent scene since making his pro wrestling debut in 2023. He currently holds titles including the HOG Crown Jewel Championship, the 4th Rope Heavyweight Championship, and the NCG World Championship.

Fatu also had a notable run in Reality of Wrestling, the promotion run by Booker T, where he captured the ROW Championship twice.

WWE’s interest does not come as much of a surprise. In March, Paul Heyman openly argued that the company should sign Fatu as soon as it had the chance.

“I think WWE would be remiss if WWE doesn’t sign Zilla Fatu at the very first opportunity to do so.”

Fatu himself also made it clear recently that his focus has always been on WWE, ruling out a move to AEW if WWE took too long to call.

“No. I think my heart is with the E. Yeah, 100%. So, I’m not going to break that cycle. Not only that, I got unfinished business as far as with my dad’s legacy to fulfill. That’s why. I want to go over there and turn that shit up and at the same time, build my own brand.”
