Dominik Mysterio closed out the opening week of AAA’s Verano de Escándalo by joining Omos and Dorian Roldán, turning on El Grande Americano in the main event to become the newest member of El Ojo.
On the July 25 show at Arena San Marcos in Aguascalientes, Mysterio and Americano took on Daga and Angel of Los Perros del Mal. The AAA Mega Champion had promised to protect his future challenger to make sure their Triplemanía 34 title match would go off without a hitch.
However, when Americano finally reached the corner for the tag, Dominik pulled his hand away and walked slowly up the ramp. Daga and Angel capitalized on the numbers advantage to win the match soon after.
After the match, Omos and Dorian Roldán came out on the stage. Dominik shook hands with both men and stood by their side, confirming his move into El Ojo.
The alliance marks a major shift in the champion’s career. Earlier in 2026, Dominik mocked the group before starting his feud with El Hijo del Vikingo. He went on to beat Vikingo at Rey de Reyes.
El Ojo was formed in December 2025 with Dorian, Omos and Vikingo. Vikingo, though, has been out of action for months following knee surgery — a situation that also left the AAA Latin American Championship vacant.
Dominik is now joining the very duo that threatened his father during the Verano de Escándalo opener. Omos and Dorian had demanded that Rey Mysterio hand the Latin American title back to them, but the general manager stood by his decision not to.
