Sheamus, who wrestled his last WWE match on the November 17, 2025 episode of Monday Night RAW, still has an uncertain future with the company.
The Celtic Warrior stepped away due to a shoulder injury, which forced him to undergo surgery on December 30.
In a recent interview with OTB Football, the former World Heavyweight Champion revealed details about his time off, as well as his recovery, which is still ongoing with no specific return date set.
According to Sheamus, he first started feeling discomfort in his shoulder back in August 2025, when he faced Rusev at Clash in Paris. The Irishman, however, said he avoided taking time off, which ultimately worsened the injury to the point where he could no longer move his arm.
To close the interview, Sheamus said he is very excited to return to action, but will need to complete his full recovery period.
It is worth noting that Sheamus’ match in November was John Cena’s farewell from Monday Night RAW. On that night, Cena, Sheamus and Rey Mysterio defeated Finn Bálor, JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio in a 6-Man Tag Team Match.
