Nikki Bella revealed she turned down a Baywatch audition because she didn’t feel comfortable wearing a red swimsuit on camera every day. She shared the story on a recent episode of The Nikki & Brie Show.
The WWE Hall of Famer said the decision wasn’t about lack of interest. It came down to personal confidence. Nikki explained she’s learned to put herself in spots where she feels secure and can deliver her best.
“I had an audition for Baywatch. I ended up skipping it because I knew I wouldn’t feel comfortable wearing a red swimsuit all the time. That confidence still isn’t there for me, so I didn’t do it.”
Bella then contrasted that with her in-ring career, where she feels completely secure playing her character.
“When I’m coming down the ramp in my Nikki Bella gear, I’m very confident.”

The former Divas Champion also addressed recent criticism of her body. She said the comments haven’t changed how she sees herself. Nikki added the moment only reinforced her own sense of beauty and security.
Nikki remains out of WWE action after suffering an ankle injury three weeks before WrestleMania 42. That injury led to an early return for Paige, who teamed with Brie Bella to win the Women’s Tag Team Championship at the event.
Nikki and Brie Bella were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2020.
