According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, a source familiar with WWE’s plans said Reigns was the favorite to retain against Seth Rollins as of July 30. CM Punk is also favored to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes.
The same report lists Trick Williams as the favorite to retain the United States Championship against Baron Corbin. Oba Femi is favored over Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell, while GUNTHER is favored against Nick Aldis.
Chad Gable is the only challenger named as a favorite, with WWE currently leaning toward Gable defeating Penta for the Intercontinental Championship. One source called Sami Zayn vs. Finn Bálor for an Undisputed WWE Championship shot and the five-woman ladder match for the interim WWE Women’s Championship too close to call.
The Reigns vs. Rollins match headlines Night 2 on Sunday, Aug. 2. SummerSlam 2026 takes place Aug. 1 and 2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, with both nights starting at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT.
