Myles Borne and Tavion Heights are the new NXT Tag Team Champions. On the August 4 episode of NXT, from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, the duo defeated The Vanity Project’s Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes.
Myka Lockwood interfered in the match and tried to help the champions retain the titles. However, Borne cut off Baylor while Heights hit Smokes with the Height of Glory and scored the pinfall to seal the title change.
With the win, Borne is now a double champion in NXT, as he also holds the North American Championship. His current singles title reign began on February 24, the same night Baylor and Smokes defeated DarkState to begin their 161-day reign as tag team champions.

For Heights, this marks his first championship since joining WWE. He came close to reaching that goal at Great American Bash on June 28 but lost to Borne in a match for the North American Championship.
Their partnership, however, has a longer history. As members of No Quarter Catch Crew, Borne and Heights challenged Nathan Frazer and Axiom for the NXT Tag Team Championship at Deadline 2024 but failed to win the titles. After going their separate ways and dealing with some tension, the two reunited in recent weeks.
