Add as a preferred source on Google Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed posted a video about the next chapter of their careers.
The two shared a short animated film titled “Daybreak” on their official X accounts Wednesday. It shows two unicorns escaping from a circus before walking toward the horizon together.
Along the way, they come across a third unicorn with a broken horn, who simply waves as he stays behind. The third unicorn is a clear reference to Big E, who remains with WWE as an ambassador and a panelist on its PLE pre-shows and post-shows.
The animation ends with the two characters’ horns left on the ground, a shot that appears to represent a final break from the identities and symbols they used in WWE. Woods has already gone back to using the Austin Creed name, while Kingston is being advertised simply as Kofi for appearances outside the company.
Creed and Kofi left WWE on May 2 after both turned down restructured contracts that would have reduced their pay. They have since been waiting out the 90-day period in their deals.
Although it is often described as a non-compete clause, the 90-day period is effectively part of the contract itself: both remain under contract and are paid during that time. They are expected to become free agents between August 1 and August 2.
