Add as a preferred source on Google Gunther did not hesitate when asked about the best technical wrestlers in WWE right now.
During an interview with Netflix Italia, “The Ring General” was asked who he believes is the top name in that style on the main roster. His answer may have surprised some, as he picked Axiom, one half of Fraxiom alongside Nathan Frazer.
“Right now? I don’t think he has the chance to show it a lot at the moment but I think Axiom actually is the best technical wrestler on the main roster right now.”
“He’s in a tag team doing different kind of matches right now, but when he gets the chance to show his skills, I think he’s by far the best technical wrestler we have.”
Axiom has been part of SmackDown since April 25, 2025, when he was called up to the main roster alongside Frazer. Before that, the two had a highly praised run in NXT, where they captured the NXT Tag Team Championship.
Gunther and Axiom have already shared the ring. In March 2025, the Austrian faced the Spanish star in Barcelona on SmackDown during WWE’s European tour.
