Jay White Sidelined With Another Injury

Jay White is out of action again, just over three months after returning from a previous injury. AEW announced on Saturday’s Collision that White suffered another injury and could miss up to two months. The nature of the injury has not been disclosed.

White last wrestled on the September 26 All Out Tailgate Brawl pre-show, teaming with Ace Austin, Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn to defeat David Finlay, Clark Connors, Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia.

The setback comes just as White, a former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion, was beginning to reestablish himself on AEW television. White returned to AEW at Forbidden Door on June 28 after more than a year out of action, attacking Finlay and helping Adam Copeland and Christian Cage retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship.

AEW President Tony Khan later said White was medically cleared only that same week. White’s return to in-ring action came on Collision four days after Forbidden Door, ending a roughly 15-month layoff.

Injuries, however, have been a constant problem for White. He suffered a foot injury in 2024 and broke his hand in a match against Kevin Knight in March 2025. During the lengthy recovery that followed, White also underwent shoulder surgery.
