Jay White was reportedly set to be one of the eight participants in the Clockwork Carnage match for the AEW World Championship at WrestleDream on Saturday.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, however, the injury White suffered at All Out caused Adam Copeland to take his place in the match. The change also affected the qualifying matches.

During this week’s Collision, Ace Austin ended up replacing White as Ricochet’s opponent. Austin ended up being defeated, while Ricochet earned his spot at the pay-per-view.

Copeland, on the other hand, was not originally in the plans to challenge for the world title. He was expected to compete alongside Christian Cage in a tag team match, but Cage’s injury, also suffered at All Out, caused AEW to change its plans.

As previously reported, White is expected to remain out of action for a period of one to two months. The company announced his injury on the Oct. 3 episode of Collision, after his last appearance at All Out’s Tailgate Brawl.

With the changes, Copeland defeated Josh Alexander on Wednesday’s Dynamite and earned a shot at the AEW World Championship. He will face Will Ospreay, Samoa Joe, Mike Bailey, Kazuchika Okada, Konosuke Takeshita, Ricochet and Darby Allin.

WrestleDream will be held at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida.
