Je’Von Evans is known for always bringing the energy on WWE programming, whether it’s during his entrances, promos, or matches. The wrestler himself, though, admits that keeping that up for every single appearance can be pretty difficult.

In a recent interview with the Brad Galli Show, the “Young OG” explained that he doesn’t always feel like wrestling or bringing all that excitement, but that the crowd’s reaction usually changes his whole mindset once the show gets going.

“I’ll be trying to (bring the energy in WWE), and it’s very difficult too honestly, especially when you don’t feel like doing it.

“But at the end of the day it’s so many times where we don’t feel like wrestling but we still go out and wrestle and then fans give us the energy and we’re like ‘Oh, we’re good.'”

This past Thursday on WWE Main Event, Evans defeated Grayson Waller, building momentum for his big match on the next episode of Raw.

Evans is set to take part in a seven-man Gauntlet Match this coming Monday, July 13. The winner will go on to challenge Penta for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam, taking place August 1-2 in Minneapolis.

Evans also reached the King of the Ring semifinals in recent weeks before falling to Jey Uso.
