Kayla Becker, known to WWE fans as Kayla Braxton, has once again made it clear that her departure from the company was never tied to a possible move to AEW.
During a recent appearance on TMZ’s Inside The Ring, Becker said that when she left WWE, she made a point of immediately shutting down any speculation about her future in pro wrestling.
“I think when I left WWE, I made it very clear I was not going to AEW or any other wrestling company. I think I quoted and said this on Twitter, ‘Why would I leave the biggest wrestling company in the world to go to another. Why?’ Obviously I wanted to do something else besides wrestling.”
The statement reinforces something Becker had already posted in June 2024, as she was heading into her final week with WWE. At the time, she pushed back against rumors about a possible move to another company.
Becker left WWE after nearly eight years with the company, working as a backstage interviewer and host of The Bump, SmackDown LowDown, and premium live event pre-shows.
