Ospreay put the Death Riders member away with the Hidden Blade. Moments later, Mark Davis jumped him from behind and the fight spilled out into the crowd. Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero ran out to join the beatdown.
Down 3-on-1, Ospreay still fought back and cleared all three out of the ring. Mic in hand, he told Davis that if he wanted to bring weapons into this, all he had to do was ask, then pitched making their Grand Slam Mexico match a Mexico City Street Fight, since everyone is already banned from ringside.
That adds a stipulation to the match Davis set up on Wednesday’s Dynamite, where he challenged Ospreay to a straight singles match with the Don Callis Family kept out of it after dropping the AEW National Championship to Andrade El Idolo at Redemption. Tony Schiavone confirmed the street fight rules on commentary. The Dynamite special airs August 5 from Arena México in Mexico City.
The two are 1-1 in singles matches in 2026. Davis won on April 22 by referee stoppage after working over Ospreay’s neck. Ospreay evened it June 3 in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament semifinal, a match that featured interference from both the Death Riders and the Don Callis Family.
That puts Ospreay in a street fight 25 days before he challenges Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship at All In London on August 30.
