AEW has confirmed another title match for Full Gear, with Hangman Adam Page and Brodido set to defend the AEW World Trios Championship against Swerve Strickland and The New Level in a rematch from WrestleDream.
Prince Nana appeared during Renee Paquette’s interview with the champions on Wednesday’s Dynamite and said Strickland and The New Level wanted a rematch for the titles.
Page agreed to the rematch, since his team had also been given a second shot at the titles. Strickland chose Full Gear for the match, but he added another demand.
“Swerve and New Level,” Strickland said. “Hangman and Brodido. Texas Death.”
Page turned down the stipulation because he didn’t want Bandido and Brody King involved in that type of match. He also questioned whether Strickland was really interested in the titles or only in settling their personal feud.
Strickland insisted a Texas Death Match was non-negotiable. Page still refused, and Strickland responded before walking off.
“We’ll see,” Strickland said.
Strickland defeated Page in a brutal Texas Death Match at Full Gear in 2023.
Full Gear is set for November 14 at the Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix, Arizona.
