Big Bill is no longer listed on AEW’s official roster page, reinforcing reports that his contract has expired and that he’s headed back to WWE as Big Cass.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select first reported the news last month, revealing that Big Bill parted ways with AEW once his deal ran out and has already lined up his return to WWE.

WWE itself all but confirmed his return during this past Monday’s episode of Raw, airing a video package built around old footage of Cass and closing it out with the date August 3 — the red brand’s first show following SummerSlam.

There’s also word that Enzo Amore could return as well to help rebuild the tag team.

Big Bill signed with AEW in August 2022 and hadn’t wrestled for the company since February. His last in-ring appearance came in ROH back in April. During his time in AEW, he won the AEW World Tag Team Championship alongside Ricky Starks, holding the titles for 123 days.

The return closes out a run of more than eight years away from WWE. His last match with the company came at Money in the Bank 2018, where Daniel Bryan defeated him.
