Add as a preferred source on Google Mandy Rose discussed her on-screen kiss with Otis and said that her former WWE storyline partner was a “decent kisser.”
Rose made the comments on the June 17, 2024, edition of the Power Alphas Podcast. The episode focused on her WWE relationship with Otis and the romantic storyline that culminated at WrestleMania 36.
“That big kiss that happened in the performance center, we wished that was in front of thousands of people because that crowd would have erupted.”
Rose added that she was disappointed the moment could not happen in a packed stadium because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The kiss took place following Otis’ victory over Dolph Ziggler at WrestleMania 36 on April 5, 2020. Rose appeared during the match, stopped Sonya Deville from interfering, and delivered a low blow to Ziggler. Otis then hit the Caterpillar for the victory before lifting Rose into his arms and kissing her.
WrestleMania 36 was recorded at the WWE Performance Center without fans in attendance.
Otis has also discussed how the lack of an audience affected the segment. He said the crowd was the only thing missing, and believed the reaction would have been particularly loud when he picked Rose up before the kiss. Rose previously said that the response from viewers watching at home helped compensate for the empty building.
