Otis has been ruled out of action indefinitely following an attack by The Vision on the July 27 episode of WWE Raw.
The angle came after World Tag Team Champions Bron Breakker and Austin Theory defeated Alpha Academy in a non-title match at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles. Logan Paul interfered before Breakker and Theory finished Akira Tozawa with an assisted Spear. The attack continued after the bell.
Otis recovered and tried to protect Tozawa, but Maxxine Dupri distracted him while Otis had Theory in trouble. Breakker and Theory followed with a double powerbomb. Theory then smashed Otis’ head between a steel chair and the ring post.
During a backstage segment later in the show, Byron Saxton announced that Otis had been ruled out of action indefinitely.
Logan Paul told Theory to take responsibility, but the group laughed off the situation. Dupri mocked Otis and said she would still be with The Vision whenever Otis returned. Paul said goodbye to Otis and told him he would see him at the hospital.
Saxton did not give a diagnosis, a timetable for Otis’ return or confirmation that he had suffered a legitimate injury.
