Mark Henry has always been one of Trick Williams’ biggest supporters in WWE. However, the WWE Hall of Famer wasn’t a fan of the new look for the United States Championship unveiled on this week’s Friday Night SmackDown.

During the show, Lil Yachty presented Williams with a custom version of the title, swapping out the traditional leather strap for white fur to match the champion’s signature entrance coat.

Appearing on the latest episode of Busted Open, Henry admitted the title fits Trick’s character, but made it clear it’s far from one of his favorite designs.

“I thought it fit him very well, the diamonds and fur, but man. Come on man. Fur on the title? That’s what you get when you’ve got Lil Yachty handing him a title belt. I was like come on man, really? I was saying really to myself like I was The Miz… Not my favorite title of all time.”

The criticism stands out because, earlier this year, Henry said Williams was one of the few talents who could make him want to return to the ring. At the time, he pointed to the current champion’s energy, confidence, and look.

Trick couldn’t close out the night with a win. His non-title match against Carmelo Hayes ended in a no-contest after Baron Corbin returned and hit both men with the End of Days.
