Mercedes Moné once again pushed back on any expectation of an immediate WWE return. Moné, who remains one of AEW’s top names, gave a direct answer when a fan on Instagram asked when she would return to the company where she became a worldwide star.
Her response was brief:
“When they induct me into the HOF.”
The comment appeared to be made in a joking tone, but it made clear that Moné is not treating a possible WWE return as something close. Since leaving the company in 2022 alongside Naomi, the former Sasha Banks has worked in NJPW, on the independent scene, and in AEW, where she has established herself as one of the biggest women’s stars outside WWE.

The timing also reinforces that her focus remains far from Stamford. Last Sunday at Forbidden Door, Moné defeated Maya World in the women’s final of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, winning the tournament for the second consecutive year. With the victory, she earned a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In: London.
In WWE, Moné had a historic career. She won the company’s major women’s titles, was part of the central era of the Women’s Evolution, and main-evented WrestleMania 37 against Bianca Belair.
