MJF used his Instagram Story to share an old photo of himself and Carmelo Hayes from when both were working the independent circuit. Hayes was wrestling under the name Christian Casanova at the time.
The post went up hours after Hayes changed his profile picture on X to a black image amid speculation about his future with WWE.
Hayes has not appeared on WWE TV since August 14, when he lost to Baron Corbin in a United States Championship match on SmackDown.
On September 4, Andrade El Idolo also asked where Hayes was in a post on X.
“Where are you Amigo ?”
Despite all of this, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reports that Hayes is viewed backstage in WWE as professional and reliable.
It has not been confirmed that Hayes is leaving the company.
