MJF once again took aim at a pro-wrestling legend during the build to AEW Double or Nothing, this time involving Mick Foley and Darby Allin.
The situation began after Jon Alba of The Takedown reported that AEW has shown “interest” in working with Foley later this year, though nothing has been finalized. It is still unclear whether that would be a one-off appearance or a larger deal with the WWE Hall of Famer.
Speaking with Alba, MJF was asked about the possibility of Foley appearing in AEW.
“I think Mick Foley is fat and he’s ugly. I think he was the blueprint of what Darby Allin is now, which makes me hate him even more. That’s what I think of Mick Foley.”
The comment ties directly into MJF’s current feud with Allin. At Double or Nothing, set for May 24 at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, Darby will put the AEW World Championship on the line against MJF in a Title vs. Hair Match. If MJF loses, his head will be shaved.
Foley, meanwhile, is said to be nearing the end of his WWE Legends deal.
