Add as a preferred source on Google MJF is not expected to appear at AEW Redemption this Sunday, July 26, at the Bell Centre in Montreal. That doesn’t signal a long stretch out of action, though — the former AEW World Champion is still expected to factor into All In on August 30 at Wembley Stadium.
According to Fightful Select, there’s no indication yet that MJF will be part of the pay-per-view.
“We’ve not heard anything about MJF’s involvement at Redemption as of now. He is expected to be factored into All In.”
MJF hasn’t been seen in AEW since July 8, when he lost the AEW World Championship to Kenny Omega on Dynamite: Beach Break.
During the Redemption media call, Tony Khan explained that MJF had been working through several injuries. Khan assured reporters that none of them should sideline him for long.
“MJF isn’t a nice guy or a good person, but he’s a great wrestler. We love to have him when he’s healthy and fit to compete. I give MJF a lot of credit for fighting through some major injuries this year,” Khan said.
MJF was left off the card, but he still played a direct role in putting the show together. He’s been identified as one of the biggest supporters behind the idea of having Kenny Omega face Kevin Knight at the pay-per-view.
