MVP has spoken out about Triple H again, this time to push back on the accusation that his podcast, Marking Out with MVP & Dwayne Swayze, is built around attacks on WWE’s Chief Content Officer.
Episode 73, released Monday, was dedicated to answering a 22-minute critique from a British YouTuber. In all, MVP and Dwayne Swayze went through nine accusations, including the allegation that the show has an agenda against Triple H.
MVP left no doubt that he considers that interpretation completely wrong.
“That’s absurd,” he said. “Anyone who watches the show, it’s not the case. For those who are actually watching, you know that’s ridiculous. Again, I keep repeating myself, but it boggles my mind someone can have these allegations and assertions about a show they claim they don’t watch.”
“There is no respite. I don’t like Triple H, and I don’t like him. He’s as spineless as they are. Don’t back me up on that,” MVP added. He urged people to go on YouTube and look up those who were friends with Triple H and have said similar things.
The relationship between MVP and Triple H has been a talking point for quite some time. In May, MVP said he did not respect Triple H and called him a “coward and a liar,” adding that his problems with WWE’s Chief Content Officer factored into his decision to leave the company.
Earlier, MVP also described the way Triple H’s feud with Booker T was built heading into WrestleMania 19 as “overt racism.” Months later, he renewed his criticism by questioning how many wrestlers Triple H actually helped elevate during his career, citing Randy Orton and Batista as exceptions.
Despite all of that history, MVP insists Triple H has never been the main subject of an episode of the podcast.
“But there has not been a single Triple H-based episode yet,” he said.
