The WWE-Netflix partnership could be headed for another major expansion in the United States, this time centered on Saturday Night’s Main Event.
According to a new backstage report, Netflix is in discussions that could lead to Saturday Night’s Main Event’s U.S. broadcast rights moving to the streaming platform.
The specials currently air exclusively on Peacock domestically. WWE and NBCUniversal announced a multi-year deal in August 2025 for four annual editions of the show, while WWE’s major premium live events moved to ESPN.
Any such move would require changes to the existing Peacock agreement. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter had previously reported that Saturday Night’s Main Event rights would stay with NBCUniversal’s platform through October 2029.
At least for now, no official change has been announced.
The next edition, a one-off airing under the Sunday Night’s Main Event banner, is scheduled for June 9 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, at 8 p.m. ET. That show will still air on Peacock in the U.S., with Netflix handling the international broadcast across multiple markets.
Netflix has already expanded its WWE partnership this year. Since January, the platform has served as the U.S. home for a significant portion of WWE’s premium live event back catalog.
