Zilla Fatu closed this Tuesday’s WWE NXT standing tall over Tony D’Angelo, Grayson Waller, and Cruz Montana, the three men he’ll face for the NXT Championship at Heatwave.

The chaos erupted during the Heatwave Summit, the closing segment of the go-home NXT before Heatwave. After back-and-forth between Kendal Grey, Kelani Jordan, Wren Sinclair, ZARIA, and Kali Armstrong, Waller cut in and steered the conversation toward the NXT Championship match.

D’Angelo came out next and told Waller he’d once again be left disappointed when he loses. Cruz Montana then emerged from the crowd and made it clear he came to fight, sparking an all-out brawl.

That’s when Zilla Fatu hit the scene. Umaga’s son climbed the turnbuckle and launched himself onto D’Angelo, Waller, and Montana, wiping out all three at once.

Fatu grabbed the NXT Championship and posed on the turnbuckle, closing the show holding the title he’s looking to capture on Sunday.

Heatwave will mark Fatu’s first official match in NXT. He debuted on November 8, crashing the #1 Contender’s Match between Waller and Montana and attacking both men, preventing a number-one contender from being decided.

One week later, Fatu “signed a contract” with WWE. Robert Stone revealed that the deal required his first NXT match to be for the title, turning the existing Triple Threat into a Fatal 4-Way.
