Nic Nemeth could lose the TNA World Championship before he even defends it against Leon Slater at Bound for Glory, under a significant stipulation TNA announced on Thursday.
With their title match approaching, Nemeth and Slater had another confrontation on Thursday night’s episode of TNA Impact, which aired live from the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas.
After a fresh altercation between the two, Santino Marella barred them from any physical contact until Bound for Glory and laid down a major stipulation.
If Nemeth puts his hands on Slater, he will be stripped of the TNA World Championship immediately. Should Slater attack the champion, he will lose his title shot.
Slater earned the title shot at TNA Lockdown on August 23, when he invoked Option C and relinquished the X Division Championship to challenge Nemeth.
Nemeth is in his second reign as TNA World Champion, having won the title from Mike Santana at Slammiversary on June 28.
Bound for Glory is set for October 11 at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.
