Add as a preferred source on Google Nikki Bella says her sister is in a lot of pain following the shoulder injury Brie suffered on night one of WWE SummerSlam, though there is still no word on how serious it is.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Nikki offered a short update on Brie’s condition and made clear she had been told to keep the details to herself.
“She’s doing okay. She is in a lot of pain. They are still determining what is going on. Brie will share that whenever. I’ve been told to ‘zip it.'”
Brie was hurt during the six-woman tag match in which she and Nikki teamed with Paige against Fatal Influence’s Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reid. The injury appeared to come on a cannonball from Jayne that sent Brie into the steel steps, and she grabbed at her right shoulder for the rest of the match.
Despite barely being able to use the arm, Brie finished the match and had only a small part in the Bellas’ post-match attack on Paige following the loss.
At the post-show press conference, Triple H confirmed Brie was treated at the stadium before being sent to a hospital for scans.
The injury has already forced a change of plans, as Brie was pulled from a photo op she was scheduled to do alongside Nikki at Sunday’s SummerSlam Takeover.
