WWE SmackDown appears to be close to ending its run as a three-hour show.
According to USA Network’s schedule, the July 3 episode is listed to start at 8 p.m. and end at 10 p.m., with Everything on the Menu with Braun Strowman taking the following timeslot.
PWInsider had previously reported the information, noting that SmackDown was listed in a two-hour format on both USA Network and Netflix.
With the change, the blue brand will return to the format that defined much of its history, airing Friday nights at 8 p.m. in the United States.
At the start of 2026, WWE had brought back the three-hour format after running a similar experiment in 2025. In practice, the third hour also helped strengthen USA Network’s follow-up programming, especially with Braun Strowman’s show.
As of now, WWE has not made a specific official announcement regarding the reduction. However, the network schedule already indicates that the change will begin with the first Friday Night SmackDown of July.
