Orange Cassidy would like to be part of the DC Universe, and he already has a character in mind. The Flash.
Speaking with Simon Miller on Under The Mat, Cassidy was asked about possibly appearing in DC’s universe.
“I would actually like to be in the DCU.”
Asked to pick a character, Cassidy went with The Flash.
“Flash. I think it’d be funny.”
The pick fits the joking tone of his answer. In the same conversation, he also praised James Gunn’s Superman and said he liked the approach the 2025 film took with the character.
So far, DC Studios hasn’t officially announced a new actor to play The Flash in the DCU. DC still has Ezra Miller as Barry Allen in 2023’s The Flash, with Grant Gustin as the face of the character on the series that ran from 2014 to 2023.
There is also no solo Flash project among the DCU’s confirmed upcoming releases.
So Cassidy’s comments amount to a personal wish and nothing more, with no sign that he’s in talks with DC Studios or involved in any way.
