WWE confirmed that Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch will face each other again, with the winner earning a chance at the Women’s World Championship, currently held by Liv Morgan. The announcement was made by Adam Pearce during Monday’s RAW in San Diego, California.
The announcement was made backstage, when Pearce went to talk with Vaquer in the medical department. Vaquer, who is out of action due to an ankle injury, said that she is recovering well. However, the medical team recommended that she remain out of action for at least one more week.
At that moment, Becky Lynch appeared and demanded a shot at Liv Morgan’s title. Vaquer, however, did not like the idea and said that she could defeat the Irish wrestler even with only one leg in condition to wrestle.
Lynch then suggested that both of them face each other in a match to determine the next challenger for the Women’s World Championship. Pearce agreed, making it clear that the match will only happen after Vaquer is medically cleared.
It is worth remembering that Liv Morgan won the title at Money in the Bank, on Oct. 10, when she defeated Vaquer and Lynch in a Triple Threat Match.
So far, WWE has not announced the date for the match between Vaquer and Lynch.
