LA Knight will get another shot at WWE’s top title. The Megastar is set to challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank on October 10 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
But WWE may have something much bigger planned than just another Reigns title defense.
According to Self Made Pro on Self Made Sessions, one of the ideas discussed by the creative team is LA Knight beating Reigns and walking out of Money in the Bank as the new World Heavyweight Champion.
One scenario would have Solo Sikoa directly involved in the finish. His interference would cost Reigns the title and serve as the launching point to finally pull him into the conflict being built toward WarGames.
The title change isn’t a done deal, though. The report only indicates the possibility was discussed internally and that Knight is one of the top options if WWE decides to pull the trigger on a surprise switch.
The rivalry has been in the works for a while, as we previously reported.
Things picked up after the September 14 RAW, when Reigns defeated Penta and retained. After the show went off the air, Knight came out and hit Reigns with a BFT.
Knight has challenged Reigns for a world title before, at Crown Jewel 2023. Jimmy Uso’s interference cost Knight the win that night, and Reigns held on to the belt.
Reigns has been World Heavyweight Champion since WrestleMania 42, his first run with the title.
