Ronda Rousey could return to AEW in the future, at least if it is up to Tony Khan, who once again left the door open for the former UFC and WWE Champion.

During an AEW Double or Nothing media call, Khan was asked about the possibility of Rousey making another appearance for the company. The AEW president said he enjoyed working with her in ROH and having her appear at AEW Revolution.

“Anytime Ronda wants to come back to AEW, she’s welcome.”

Rousey made a surprise appearance at AEW Revolution in March, confronting Toni Storm after the then-champion’s win over Marina Shafir. The segment ended with security breaking things up, but it did not lead to an immediate follow-up on AEW programming.

Before that, Rousey had already wrestled for ROH, teaming with Shafir against Athena and Billie Starkz at a taping in Los Angeles. Khan had previously praised that match and made it clear he has a good relationship with her.

Rousey’s name has picked up steam again in recent days following her MMA return. Last Saturday, she defeated Gina Carano in just 17 seconds by submission at Netflix’s first-ever MMA event.

After the win, however, Rousey said she was going back into retirement and indicated that she plans to have more children. So despite Khan’s public interest, a return to AEW does not appear to be imminent.
