Sami Zayn had an emotional reaction after losing the Undisputed WWE Championship to CM Punk in the main event of this week’s Raw, which took place at the Allstate Arena in Chicago.

Punk replaced Cody Rhodes, who had been attacked by Gunther earlier in the show, and defeated Zayn after hitting a Helluva Kick followed by a Go To Sleep.

After coming through the curtain, Zayn could not hold back tears and questioned how Punk was able to return to WWE after months away and immediately receive a title opportunity.

“I have a question. How is it that after 24 years of crawling and inching for every little inch to get the WWE Championship, after I finally get it, 9 days after I get, that piece of shit can walk back in here after not being here for months, for months, and waltz right in and get a chance?

“That motherf**ker, he has no business, no business!”

Zayn’s reign was extremely short, as he had won the title at Night of Champions. Despite the loss, according to Fightful Select, many wrestlers both in and outside WWE were happy to see him finally win the WWE Championship.

Punk, meanwhile, immediately returns to the center of WWE programming. This was his first WWE Championship win since 2011, exactly 15 years after his historic victory over John Cena in the same building at Money in the Bank.
